Objectives:
1. Develop a new ecosystem restoration course to integrate in the curriculum.
2. Provide short-term professional training courses related to ˇ°ecosystem restorationˇ± for forestry staff at prefecture and township level.
3. Extend the course to other forestry professional schools throughout the country.
4. Develop manuals and training materials
Methods:
1. Translation and relevant materials.
2. Edit and publish teaching material.
3. Collect seed and wildlings of indigenous tree species for nurseries.
4. Set-up of a small nursery for habitat restoration.
5. Data recording and analysis.
outputs:
1. Teaching aids and manuals for the ˇ°Ecosystem Restorationˇ± course teaching material.
2. Indigenous tree species nursery for habitat restoration.
3. Data collection and analysis for the development of frame work species nurseries.
4. Final report to ICRAF.
